About Composition

     Composition, in terms of photography, consists of the elements that it takes to make an image. It's basically playing puposefully and freely with lines, shapes, textures angles, colors, patterns and the variety of angles you can capture do to compose an interesting, emotional, or adjective-that-describes whatevers-possible under the imagination's rule.

• A picture almost always has a point of interest, that is where you want viewers eyes to focus on( the subject). This could be a bird, a tree, a drop of water...
• Rule of thirds: Create an imaginary grid that divides the image into thirds ( both horizontally and vertically). The points of intersection this makes give you four considerations to placing your points,or point of interest. Also, the lines indicate useful possible positions to place other elements you may want to add, plus balance them with the rest of the image.

• Framing works, and beautifully, to draw attention, while also adding shape, to your main focal point. It also intrigues the viewer to wonder about what is not shown, and in essence this is like layering so it adds multidimensionality and depth to your image.
